The Mound City National Cemetery Preservation Commission observes Memorial Day on the Saturday of the Memorial Day weekend. The general public is welcome.

The ceremony begins at 10 o’clock and includes the Call to Order, Presentation of Colors, Laying of the Wreaths, and the Roll Call of Honorees. The ceremony also includes guest speakers and music.

The Mound City National Cemetery Memorial Day ceremony is one of the oldest in the region and dates to the years following the Civil War.
